Geekvape Alpha Tank VS Geekvape Ammit MTL RTA | Two Best Tanks for You Choice
Hi everyone, today we will make a comparative evaluation about two latest atomizers from Geekvape. OK, here we go.
The first one is Geekvape Alpha Sub Ohm Tank, which is clearly made to match their Nova mod as well with similar resin patterns. All the threading on this tank is excellent. It's a very nicely built tank with good quality. Airflow is 3 large holes equally spaced apart on the bottom. It's plenty of air, easily made for DTL vaping.
The AFC is smooth and easy to adjust even on the mod, thanks to the nice raised bumps on it. The filling is easy as well, I really like the top fill system. It comes with a standard 4ml capacity bubble tank only unless you get a TPD edition which comes with a 2ml regular glass.
About the Alpha's performance. There are 2 coil options in total: MM X1 0.2ohm (60-110w best for 75-95w) and the MM X2 0.4ohm (50-80w best for 60-70w)). Both are KA1 (Kanthal) Mesh coils with the MM X1 being a single mesh and the MM X2 being a dual mesh coil.
I started with the X1 single mesh coil, and I have to say it is one of the better mesh coils I've used to date. I found it's best in the 80-90 watt range and very similar in performance to the freemax mesh pro double mesh coil. Then the X2 double mesh coil when it’s the best at around 50-60 watts. It's a good coil but not as good as the X1. It's pretty similar to the freemax single mesh coil in performance. Overall they have a really good performance as one of the better mesh tanks on the market.
Parameters
Materials: SS
E-Juice Capacity: 4ml
Coil type: MM *1 0.15 ohm(60-110W best for 75-95W) / MM *2 0.4 ohm(50-80W best for 60-70W)
Thread: 510
The second is Geekvape Ammit MTL RTA, which must be the best quality made tank I personally have used, all threading, machining and tolerances just couldn't be better you don't have to add a zero to be high end. The airflow control ring is cyclops one side with a series of different sized holes underneath, and the opposite side has a single hole that can be turned all the way around. And the 510 pin is Gold plated and protrudes nicely, which is definitely hybrid safe.
About the Ammit MTL RTA's performance. Through all the different airflow options, the flavor is outstanding certainly. The airflow gives you anything from a ridiculously tight draw with the 0.6mm hole, right through to being able to do a restricted lung hit using the slot with all 5 holes open. In my opinion, when it comes to best MTL RTA, the Ammit MTL RTA will be the top of peoples' list.
